■There were a lot of passengers died in the accident．（误）
正：There were a lot of passengers killed in the accident．（过去分词作定语）
或：A lot of passengers were killed in the accident．（简单句）
■I ran to the old man in a hurry，found the car’s number was AC864．
正：I ran to the old man in a hurry， and found the car’s number was AC864.
析：ran与found两个动作一前一后，是两个并列谓语。应在found前加上and.
