日前，中俄签署重大军售框架协议。中俄合作建造4艘“拉达”级潜艇出售给中国。中国向俄采购24架苏35战机。
Beijing and Moscow signed two arms-sale contracts in which China will buy Russian fighter jets and submarines, media reports said. The purchases represented "the first time in nearly 10 years" that China had bought large military technological equipment from Russia.
媒体报道称，中俄已签署两份军售合同，中方将从俄罗斯购买战机和潜艇。这是时隔10年后，中国首次向俄罗斯采购大型军事战斗装备。
Arms sale 就是指“军售”，arms-sale contracts则指“军售合同”，军事对立双方的“军备竞赛”则是arms race。此次从俄罗斯购买战斗机（fighter jets）和潜艇（submarines）是近十年来中国首次从俄购买大型军事技术装备（large military technological equipment）。中方观察员表示，此次采购不指向任何第三方（not directed at any third party）。
美国曾对华实行的“武器禁运令”是arms embargo。Embargo的意思是“禁止贸易令，禁运”，例如：impose an embargo on commerce with some country （禁止与某国通商）；The country has put an embargo on all imports. （该国对所有进口品实行禁运）。“解除禁运令”可以用lift, raise, remove an embargo来表示。
