“理性的”在英文中一般是reasonable和 rational 。
Reasonable在英文中的具体解释是公平的、合理的，一般用来描述一个人做事很合理。比如：Any reasonable person would ask for help when they are in trouble.同时reasonable还可以用来指价格的公道合理。比如we sell all goods at reasonable prices.它常见的句型一般是It is reasonable to do sth，有理由做某事，短语Be reasonable 意为“请讲道理”。
而rational也可以指人，但侧重于“行为”、“思想”是明智的、理性的。在这篇报道中就用了rational这个单词来表达我们在行动采取时所需要的“理性”。例如 a rational argument/choice/decision,一个合理的论点/选择/决定。
